Gay marriage is now legal in South Africa
- the first African country to legalise it, in spite of opposition from Christians there. Great news, well done South Africa!

Meanwhile, there are still
many countries where homosexuality is illegal
, unfortunately, and many where LGBT people are persecuted (even if it is not technically illegal).
