Museum of Witchcraft

Museum of Witchcraft, Boscastle.

If anyone wanted to visit a museum with fascinating exhibits and really user-friendly labelling, this is the place to go. I find it interesting that a museum run by people with no curatorial training (as far as I know) actually has some of the best labelling I've seen. It's also run by an independent body and receives no public funds. Though some other museums helped after the floods by donating display cases and advice about conservation of the flood-damaged objects.

This is somewhere I really want to get to, but it's not the easiest place to reach from where I live.

I remember watching the floods and thinking about whether the museum was safe. Strangely enough, I'd read about it for the first time only a couple of weeks before, and then there was Boscastle on the news!

I'm definately going to go sometime.

I recommend it. The museum has survived the flood and bounced back really really well. Also Graham from the museum was the person who alerted the coastguard to the flood and his prompt action is probably the reason no-one was killed.
