Happy International Women's DayIn case anyone thinks we don't need an international day for women, there are still many countries where it isn't safe to be a woman - because of domestic violence, rape, dowry-related murders, "honour" killings, and so on. Also many women are still paid less than men for the same jobs.
Celebrate International Women's Day by visiting the V-Day website or signing the women's charter.
Come to that, why can't they make International Women's Day a public holiday? (For men as well as women.)
