There was a country with square people, round people and triangualr people, and one of them (I forget which) said everyone had to be the same shape as them, and made a machine to change the shapes of those who differed. Eventually the others had a revolution, put the machine in reverse and restored everyone to their own shape. Nice bit of memorable anti-totalitarian propaganda for kids. It was post-war, about 1949 or so.

The only Brecht play I've ever seen is "The Caucasian Chalk Circle", which I thought was rather good.

Steve Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11283123400540587033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9444317.post-91946865881844467252015-02-10T18:08:26.579+00:002015-02-10T18:08:26.579+00:00Only Russia is bigger!Only Russia is bigger!Steve Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11283123400540587033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9444317.post-13821268908927502422013-08-27T09:16:30.684+00:002013-08-27T09:16:30.684+00:00Oh yes! This was a problem for my companion with dyslexia, but it was also a problem for a lady who had glasses for close work and glasses for distance - she had to swap them over to read both the book and the number next to the exhibit.
